SHIN KHEANG AUN or Sin Kheng Aun, established in 1941, is run by second-generation Hainanese Ong Chin Hong and his partner Ong Lam Hock, the chef.
The food is a mixture of Hainanese and local dishes associated with this group of Chinese, many of whom had served as cooks for the colonial British as well as establishments catering to them and the local elite.
