La Quinta Community Center

The La Quinta Community Center offers classes, camps and events to residents of the City of La Quinta. A nominal fee is charged for various programs. To find out about the various programs available, visit www.cvrpd.ca.gov . Some of my favorite programs include Santa's Hotline during the holiday season. Call the North Pole and talk with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and all of their friends. Kids can take peewee pom pom classes, beginning ballet, dance and charm school for good manners. There is even a mad science camp for children ages 6 to 14. And the parents aren't left out either. Adults are getting into the new popular sport known as "pickleball" - a sport that combines badminton and tennis. The Annual Greater Coachella Valley Soap Box Derby is scheduled for March 29th, 2009, scheduled along Avenida Bermudas in La Quinta.
