Big Buddah

If you go anywhere around South Phuket, you cannot miss this majestic landmark on the mountain ridge. There will actually be two Buddha immages once the project is completed. The smaller one will be devoted to HM Queen Sirikit while the larger one will be devoted to HM Majesty King Bhumibol. When completed, the Phra Puttamingmongkol Akenakkiri Buddha will stand at 45 meters, covered with more than 130 tons of Burmese marble! It is a fantastic place to visit, one of Phuket's top 10.
