Times Square

Times Square - known as the crossroads of the world. Stand in the middle of it and be taken in by the fluorescent display of the nearby Virgin megastore or the numerous ads flashing at you. Count the number of NY cabs zipping by and the number of dialects you are able to recognize. Apart from the atmosphere, there's not many monuments in which you can visit, however, on the whole, Times Square is a sight and sound overload that you'll have to experience it in order to understand what I mean.
