Popular family shopping area for mostly locals as well as tourists. Located just next to the Istana and who knows, if you are lucky enough, you get to see the change of guards at the entrance of Istana. Visit http://isaac-khng.blogspot.com for more information, photos and links.

Another shopping haven, but I must say that after the extension, there are more interesting shops and eateries available. Favourite shop is Junior De Artiste located in the older wing of Novena Square, Level 3. Mummy's favourite haunt to stock up many craft supplies! There is a food court either on the 3rd or 2nd level of the newer wing and the Thai beef noodle is really delicious and CHEAP, at S$4.00 or S$4.50 (can't remember exactly)

Sea front beach park, with eateries around and great playground for kids. Problem is, when we went there, some of the nice restaurants were closed for renovation. But nevertheless, it's a great place for kids as the playground is newly refurbished and it's HUGE!

Ok, not just an Airport, but because it's NEW and media reporting it to be a "shopping paradise", Mummy and Daddy brought little Isaac there to view the new terminal at Changi Airport. There is a nice Crystal Jade restaurant that serves great Shanghainese food.

Suntec City Mall, a popular shopping for locals and tourists, a huge convention center for exhibitions and fairs, and a place that houses many offices of MNCs, etc. Anyway, there is a fountain of wealth and this magnificent architecture of Suntec convention center, 5 office towers and the fountain is actually an open palm with the fountain of wealth in the middle, signifying "capturing and retaining the wealth" in your hands. Full of shopping and restaurants, cinema, big supermarket (Carrefour).

Oh goodness...shopping again! Yes, that's what most Singaporeans do during the weekend and Mummy and Daddy are not exception. Anyway, Paragon is known for all the high end designer label boutiques like Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Tods, etc, so you will find lots of RICH people around as well as tourists. There is an interesting wine shop at B1, which is so heavily stacked with crates of wine that I guess the intent is to let people knock them down accidentally rather than to buy them! Force selling? Haha....
