Araha Beach & Park, a great place to relax & soak in the sunshine on Okinawa's west coast while enjoying the beautiful East China Sea, while still being within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bus lines, etc.

2nd floor of the building (the stairway is prominent). This izakaya (drink specials & Japanese food on small plates) is extremely popular (staying open late), for good reason. It's excellent for private group fucntion & outings as tables are enclosed in booths (from floor to ceiling). The food is tasty & reasonably priced.

Just outside 'Araha Beach' in Hamby Town area of Chatan-cho. They call it a 'day manshion' but it is kind of like a guest house. The rooms were clean and pretty small. There is a communal room with tables, internet and a fridge, where you can keep food. The toilet and showers are shared. It is 2,800 - 3,500 yen per night (varies with season) for the nicer room. The cheaper room is smaller and has no window! They don't necessarily speak English, so you might want to have someone reserve who speaks Japanese.
