Near old-styled kopitiam. Serves good kopi ais (iced-coffee). Great home-cook styled chinese food. You gotta try their inchi-kabin chicken (Peranakan deep fried chicken), best in town.

One of two Olden Days Kopitiam in town. This one serves fusion food like chicken chop, mee soup, roti bakar (toast) etc. Food not really to scream about and the tables and chairs are not old kopitiam-like. But do give it a try. Wifi said to be available and the menu is halal.

Penang Hill/Bukit Bendera (See on map)
Pulau Pinang, Malaysia(see the GPS coordinates)N 5°25'25'', E 100°16'12''
added on 12/24/2007
On Penang Hill you can escape the heat of tropical Georgetown. The hill, also known as Bukit Bendera, is 830 meter high (2,750 foot) and it's much cooler than in the city below. It's about 3 degrees cooler than the places near the coast.
The station to get to the top is located in Air Itam. From Georgetown, take a Transit Link bus No 1, or No 101, or Lim Seng bus No 91, or minibus No 21 from Lebuh Chulia to the Air Itam Terminal. Penang Hill has a population of about 1000 locals.
The funicular at the railway station takes you to the top and it will cost you RM4.50 for one way. The train leaves the station at Air Itam at 6.30am and at half hourly intervals.
The hilly and forested Penang Hill are
founded by Sir Francis Light during
his pack horse track back in the year
1788. However, it was during the
19th century that construction is
carried out to build the hill into a place well accessible by local or even tourist alike
which brings about the funicular railway construction at the cost of about $1.5
million.
