When I was on a long trip to Switzerland from India, I saw some people gliding above in the sky for long time, just floating with the wind. I ran after them to see them when landed and asked them I too want to paraglide!. My Mentor Jack, arranged it and I went there next weekend. See some nice traning pictures of paragliding! Even though I couldnt glide full length due to lack of time, the short one itself was great!!

It is not difficult to take off in paragliding. You have run with the glide opening behind you and just lift off. If there is some good breeze, you can float upto 2.5 hrs just guiding against the wind as my instructor could do!

The instructor was really 100% dedicated Champion Glider, a local Swiss.

The small airport- just for small personal planes!- a new experience for me from India!

Seeing the small plane, I was scared to go for the skyjump. Then I saw this girl going for the jump and I got the courage!

See the munipal airport! This is only for the small private planes. I was surprised to see a father and son just opened the engine,m did some repair on the 2 seater plane like we do on cars and just flew off! Risky, man!

ANother smaller plane- How dare these people are! Sorry I am not used to this!

But Mark, my instructor, didnt forget to offer a prayer before our jump

We are sitting outside the plane window just ready to jump. I am tied to him at my back!

We have just jumped out. Mark has told I should arch my upper body and head backwards- or both of us will die' he said. And made me practice before boarding the plane!

I was lost- Didnt know what direction I was- whether I arched ok and will not die!

After a few seconds, I was in heaven- moving like a bullet of course tied to by instructor,mark at the back!

After some time, he pulled the parachute. Mark trained me how to guide the parachute to descent fast and then float!

Approaching landing area- Emblem of Phoenix Area Skydiving- It is cheap- About $ 200 for Jumping once+ $ 100 for taking this Video! The camera is tied to his Hand!

There is the landing strip- Our man is waiting there with the car to take us back to air port.

Desert Drive in Saudi Deserts-THRILLING!

Saudis are fun loving and advneturous. A past time for many of the young and old is Desert driving. With only $ 0.13 a liter for petrol, and lot of petrol money, there are large SUVs and huge American petrol guzzling cars everywhere!. And the hills in desert near Half Moon beach is a favourite place for the drivers and the spectators. It is said they make the hills every week and the betting runs into thousands. I have only watched it but will drive before I leave Saudi, that is for sure. I will post a longer and better video soon!
